Frequently asked questions.

Will I no longer be in control of my income if a third party is handling my revenue cycle management?

Most mental health practitioners have chosen this field because they want to help people heal and thrive mentally and emotionally. NOT because they love paperwork, billing, collections and chasing after insurance agencies or patients/clients for money. A reputable service will always work in the best interest of their clients. Becuase of this concern, we have found that it is best for our client if we utilize your practice management software. You simply add us as a user, and we take it from there. This ensures that you always have complete access and visibility of the entire process and of your patients.

Am I putting confidential and restricted data at risk when working with a third-party?

We require that our billers have taken a certification course on HIPAA Compliance. We always use HIPAA compliant communications. We guarantee compliance and the highest standards at all times. Again, we work in your best interest, just as you work in the best interest of your patients. We are a team.

Is a third party affordable? I am concerned about the costs?

The Human Equation – It is no secret that to hire, train, retain, and manage in-office administrative personnel that are knowledgeable regarding RCM, HIPAA Compliance, and navigating the ever-changing insurance processes is a monumental undertaking. The costs associated with in office staff far exceed the % paid to a third party. With a third-party biller, you also have no issues with staff turnover or PTO/Sick leave where you or someone else is having to fill the gap. You may feel that doing your billing yourself is more affordable but when you take into account the entire revenue cycle management, from preauthorization, billing, collection, follow up on unpaid claims and much more, practitioners have found they spend far more time chasing the dollars than they do treating, practicing, marketing, networking, educating and growing their practice.
